Global Health Foundation

Message From Our Founder

Dr. Florence Umenjoh Andoumbene (Dr. Flo) founded the New Haven Global Health Foundation in 2022 with one goal in mind- To help the less fortunate and poor in America, Africa, and beyond.

A well-educated with advance degree in healthcare and an American citizen born in the Northwest Province of Cameroon. She is a trailblazer and philanthropist who has touched many lives in various parts of the world. Her philanthropic mission started when she was a child. Around the age of 8 years old, she went to church and saw a child who was dressed in rags. Dr. Andoumbene obtained permission from her mother to give this child one of her church dresses. Since then, she has continued to help people of various origins and backgrounds. Around 2004-2007, she supported 7 orphans whose parents died leaving them at a tender age.

She has helped many sick people in hospital, paying their hospital bills so they can leave the hospitals after treatment. As a Nurse Practitioner, she played a crucial role in supporting and treating patients affected by Covid 19. She continues to support the education of children in her village and community of birth, and the war-torn part of Cameroon. Through the New Haven Global Health Foundation, she has teamed up with other philanthropists and volunteers to continue to assist people and orphans in different parts of the world and Cameronn refugees based in Nigeria.

Dr. Flo (as affectionately called by her friends and colleagues) is seeking comparable, warm-hearted individuals who can offer their assistance, knowledge, time, resources to offer healthcare providers and travel to various parts of the world to assist and treat sick people. The reward is so great and everlasting. Dr Flo shared a quote from her former mentor and the former president of South Africa, the Late Honorable Nelson Mandela who said “We can change the world and make it a better place. It is in your hands to make a difference”.
